The Miami Dolphins signed safety Bacarri Rambo on Tuesday to add bodies to its injury-depleted secondary.
Rambo, who is 6-foot, 211 pounds, has played in 32 career games with the Washington Redskins and Buffalo Bills during his four seasons in the NFL.
Miami worked out four safeties - Major Wright, James Ihedigbo, Brandian Ross and Rambo - before deciding to sign the former University of Georgia standout, who has started 11 NFL games.
The Dolphins need reinforcements in the secondary, and on special teams considering starting strong safety Reshad Jones suffered a season-ending shoulder injury in Miami's 30-15 win over Pittsburgh earlier this month, and Isa Abdul-Quddus, the team's starting free safety, is presently nursing a knee and ankle injury.
