Miami Dolphins sign defensive back Chris Culliver

The Miami Dolphins finally addressed a long-past-due need today, signing free agent cornerback Chris Culliver to a one year contract, per reports.

Culliver, 6’-0”, 200 pounds, was a third round pick in the 2011 NFL draft for the San Francisco 49ers. He played in every game in his first two years, but missed the 2013 season with a torn ACL. He then played 14 more games in 2014 before being released by the 49ers. He played in 6 games with the Washington Redskins in 2015 before tearing both his ACL and MCL during a late November practice.

Culliver’s career totals include 52 games played with 143 tackles, 3 forced fumbles (2 recoveries), and 7 interceptions.
