When the 2018 season ended the speculation was that the Miami Dolphins would draft a quarterback early in 2019’s draft. Then Ryan Tannehill was traded and that speculation appeared to be correct. If we back up just a bit however, it was 2020 that was supposed to provide the QB answer.
After Adam Gase was fired, there was a lot of talk from Chris Grier and even Stephen Ross that the team would rebuild. When Brian Flores was introduced as the head coach there was talk that Miami would build the team from the trenches. That made a lot of sense and sent one Dolphins beat writer into a “Tank for Tua” campaign that still has not let up.
