Miami Dolphins rookie linebacker Zach Vigil standing out in a crowded linebacker corps

The Miami Dolphins went through an overhaul of their linebacker corps this offseason. High priced/low production players Dannell Ellerbe and Philip Wheeler have been replaced by a slew of undrafted rookie free agents (UFAs) competing for a roster spot. With starting middle linebacker Koa Misi nursing a calf injury, rookie Zach Vigil is taking advantage of his opportunity; standing out in a crowded linebacker corps.

Vigil experienced success in college at Utah State earning the 2014 Defensive Player of the Year in the Mountain West Conference. He logged 156 tackles, nine sacks, and an interception in 2014. But Vigil recognizes that in the NFL nothing is handed to you.
