The Miami Dolphins have changed the name of their annual cancer event. The former RideDCC event held after the regular season is over has been changed to the Miami Dolphins Cancer Challenge.
Why is this significant? Simply put the Dolphins are the biggest supporters of cancer research in the NFL and we here at PhinPhanatic.com have supported this cause each year through our own donations to riders in the event, through our fantasy football leagues which have raised over $5,000.00.
Perhaps this year more than any other the event has taken on a new meaning. As many of you know I lost my mother to cancer a short two months ago.
