As much as fans (and even players) didn't respect or even like Joe Philbin, no coach has received more controversy and vitriol than defensive coordinator Kevin Coyle, who as of this moment, is still the defensive coordinator, much to the dismay of fans and some players alike.
But that doesn't mean that the Dolphins aren't looking into possibilities to replace Coyle. Per Albert Breer of NFL Network, the Dolphins have spoken to former Detroit Lions head coach Jim Schwartz, former Atlanta Falcons head coach Mike Smith, and former Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Greg Schiano as potential candidates to take the job.
