In South Florida, the Miami Dolphins roster purge continues and this time it is offensive tackle Jordan Mills who was signed as a free agent this off-season.
Mills was supposed to add depth to an offensive line unit that was devoid of upper-end talent but he struggled through camp and preseason games. In fact, Mills performed worse than the undrafted rookies.
The departure of Mills almost guarantees that the start of the season will see Jesse Davis at right tackle rather than at right guard. Davis has played right tackle before but has been inconsistent. He will get a chance to finally take a big step forward this year.
