Cornerback Will Davis, on the trade block three days ago, not only didn't get traded but has survived the initial cut to 53 players and is on the Miami Dolphins roster now.
Davis, a third-round pick in 2013, had two interceptions in approximately three quarters of work in the final preseason game Thursday. That apparently nailed down a roster spot for him.
The Dolphins are keeping seven cornerbacks: Brent Grimes, Jamar Taylor, Brice McCain, Bobby McCain, Zack Bowman, Tony Lippett and Davis.
The Dolphins made moves -- most of them expected -- to reach the NFL mandated 53-man limit.
