Miami Dolphins practice report: No Byron Maxwell, Jelani Jenkins

DAVIE–The Dolphins are moving forward toward Saturday’s crucial game at Buffalo without a few key players.

Cornerback Byron Maxwell, who hurt his ankle against the Jets, watched today’s practice from the side during the portion open to the media. Jelani Jenkins (knee) did some rehab work on the side, but did not participate.

Maxwell’s absence makes it likely Miami will start Tony Lippett and rookie Xavien Howard at corner against the Bills.

Anthony Steen, who came in for Mike Pouncey as the starting job before losing that spot last week, was active in practice.
