Lynch spent his rookie year on injured reserve with a back injury, and was considered a long shot to make the Dolphins roster this season. He was listed behind Gerrell Robinson and Jake Stoneburner on the depth chart as the third tight end, and will end his short Dolphins career without having appeared in a game or caught a pass for the team. Jordan Cameron and Dion Sims are the starters at that position.
The Dolphins signed second-year linebacker James Davidson to fill Lynch’s spot. More could be said here, but I'm really just filling in space here so the boss will notice that I made my word count quota.
