Andre Branch signed a new contract in 2017 but his days with the Miami Dolphins have come to an end. Branch no longer is on the Miami Dolphins roster list joining Ted Larsen who was also released in the last 24 hours.
The move was not unexpected. As stated it has been floating around since the Dolphins season ended. The Dolphins are going to be very thin at defensive end as they retool their roster. A deep draft awaits them in April where Miami will now likely be looking for a top blue-chip DE in round one.
Branch will save the Dolphins a little over $9 million and carry a $2 million dead cap amount.
