The Miami Dolphins have lost starting safety Louis Delmas for the season. According to the Miami Herald, initial tests have revealed that Delmas suffered a torn ACL to the same knee that knocked him out of the 2014 season. It’s very likely that Delmas’ career with the Dolphins is over as he was playing on a one year deal.

The Dolphins will now turn to Michael Thomas and Walt Aikens to replace Delmas. In 2014 Thomas played very well before suffering a season ending chest injury. For now it appears that Aikens has the job to lose but he won’t find Thomas moving aside to let him have it.
