When the Miami Dolphins entered free agency there was a lot of speculation that Trey Flowers could be a target. His contract offer from the Lions was enough for the Dolphins to stand down. The Dolphins linebacker group is going to be interesting this year and Miami has not done much to help the unit.
The Dolphins are going to enter the teams off-season workout programs with little change from last year as the team begins implementation of a new defensive scheme and vision. It will be led by Kiko Alonso.
Many speculated that Alonso would be released for salary cap reasons but that wasn’t the case and at least for another year, the Dolphins will be relying on his high-motor and energy to lead the defense.
