Jarvis Landry hit Aaron Williams, and now, the NFL is hitting Landry — in the wallet.
Landry has been fined $24,309 for his illegal crackback blog on the Buffalo safety in Sunday’s 28-25 Dolphins victory, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported. The league typically announces fines on Fridays.
Williams was taken by ambulance to a hospital with neck and head injuries and has not practiced this week.
Bills coach Rex Ryan called it a dirty play and said it fell under the definition of targeting in college football.
“I truly don’t have a response back to him,” Landry said Wednesday.
