It seems taboo as of late to even suggest that the Miami Dolphins defense is to blame for any of the team's struggles this season, but when the reality sets in that the Dolphins defense has not only not improved, but it's regressed in basically every way, it's hard to deny.
By the end of 2014, the Miami Dolphins allowed 1,937 yards rushing, and a lot of those yards came after what is now commonly known as the "Mile High Drop," the game against the Denver Broncos where the Dolphins defense suddenly became incapable of stopping the run and continued that trend throughout the rest of the season.
