Miami Dolphins defensive end Dion Jordan will not be activated off the reserve list this season.
The Dolphins faced a deadline of this week to active the former third overall pick or shut him down for the season.
Jordan is eligible according to the NFL to play but the team did not feel it was worth it to add him to the playoff push due to a knee injury which limited him all season.
Jordan had his meniscus repaired and occassionally been seen rehabilitating on the field during practice.
He has also been allowed to travel with the Dolphins and for most of the season, did not practice.
