DAVIE - The Miami Dolphins' will begin Wednesday's practice with an infusion of newcomers courtesy of yesterday's roster purge. But two of the team's five new players have spent the entire summer with this team.
Offensive tackle Sam Young and cornerback Chimdi Chekwa were re-signed on Tuesday, replacing offensive lineman Dallas Thomas and Billy Turner, and tailback Isaiah Pead, who were released following last Sunday's 30-17 loss to the Tennessee Titans.
And former University of Florida defensive tackle Leon Orr was promoted up from the team's practice squad to address Miami's struggles on the defensive line.
