It's Memorial Day. Let's take a minute to remember why we have this holiday.
Every year, when the calendar turns to Memorial Day, I take a moment to step out of Miami Dolphins coverage to remember why we have this day. While everyone enjoys the day off from work and grills start firing up, I always ask that you take a moment to reflect on the meaning of Memorial Day. The holiday has become a day to thank service members for what they do every day, and, while no one will complain about that, it is not why we have Memorial Day.
