The Pro Football Writers of America released their 2016 All-Rookie Team on Tuesday, selecting the top first-year players from around the league. In doing so, they also named Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott the 2016 PFWA Rookie of the Year and the 2016 PFWA Offensive Rookie of the Year. San Diego Chargers defensive end Joey Bosa was named the 2016 PFWA Defensive Player of the Year.
Included in the 2016 PFWA All-Rookie Team is Miami Dolphins guard Laremy Tunsil. After being selected with the 13th overall selection in the 2016 NFL Draft - which included the much publicized fall due to a video being released to Tunsil’s Twitter account just as the Draft started - Tunsil worked his way during training camp into the starting lineup as the team’s left guard, learning a new position from the left tackle he played in college.
