Josh Freeman comeback comes back to Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins announced today the re-signing of veteran quarterback Josh Freeman.

Josh Freeman's come-back tour continues. Just four days after releasing the veteran quarterback, the Miami Dolphins today announced they had re-signed the former first-round draft choice. Freeman originally signed with the Dolphins in April.

According to the Miami Herald, the release and re-sign was a deliberate move by the Dolphins in an effort to avoid a clause in Freeman's contract that would have cost the team additional money. The move increases Miami's quarterbacks group back to four, with starter Ryan Tannehill, backup Matt Moore, and McLeod Bethel-Thompson also on the roster.
