Ja’Wuan James banked on himself in 2018 as he turned down an extension offer from the Dolphins and instead played on the 5th year option. During the 2018 off-season, James was the subject of many trade rumors including one that would have sent him to the Broncos. That one was reported to be close but fell through at the last-minute.
In 2019, James will be a free agent and allowing him to leave will leave the Dolphins with a big hole on the right side of the offensive line. 2018 was a down year for James who battled injuries and got little help from the right guard position but he is healthy and ready to go for the 2019 season.
