Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jarvis Landry was flagged for unnecessary roughness on a block against Buffalo Bills safety Aaron Williams. The play came mid-way through the second quarter, with the Dolphins at the Bills’ 11-yard line, with Miami running the ball with a haldoff to Jay Ajayi. Landry came across the field and hit Williams up high.
Looking at the play, it looks like Landry was trying to make a block, but for some reason went really high, hitting Williams in the neck/head with his shoulder pad. It was rightfully called for a penalty.
Williams, who has had neck injuries in the past, had to leave the game with what is described as a “head and neck injury.
