Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jarvis Landry was fined by the NFL for his hit on Buffalo Bills safety Aaron Williams during last Sunday’s 28-25 win. According to a report from NFL Network, the fine on Landry was for $24,309.
Landry was flagged on the play, which came as Miami was closing in on a touchdown, when he committed a block on Williams as running back Jay Ajayi looked to run outside to Landry’s side of the field. Landry appeared to try to hit Williams from the front, but he may have blindsided the safety and clearly went to high with the hit, connecting with his shoulder pads around Williams in the head and neck.
