Jamar Taylor replaces Brice McCain as Dolphins starter

MIAMI GARDENS – Cornerback Brice McCain, as expected, is inactive for today’s game against Houston due to the right knee injury that sidelined him in the first quarter of last week’s victory at Tennessee.

Cornerback Jamar Taylor, a 2013 second-round pick, will start his fourth NFL game in McCain’s place. Rookie cornerback Bobby McCain, a 2015 fifth-round pick, will man the nickel spot, coming onto the field when the Dolphins need to defend three receiver sets.

Tight end Jake Stoneburner, who has scored two touchdowns in the first four games, is also inactive for the first time since being called up from the practice squad.
