Former Miami Dolphins Great, Defensive Coordinator Bill Arnsparger Passes Away At 88
The Miami Dolphins announced the passing of Bill Arnsparger today at the age of 88. Arnsparger was brought to the Dolphins in 1969 by Don Shula when he took over as head coach. Arnsparger has long been credited with crafting the early 70's Dolphins defenses that were known as the "No-Name Defense's". He was part of the staff that saw his team go undefeated in 1972 as well as winning back to back NFL titles.
Following the 72 season Bill left the Dolphins to take over as the head coach of the New York Giants.
