Certainly, this is a career that one dreams of as they are growing up playing football and it's only fitting that he is honored for all his accomplishments. This morning, that will happen as his hometown of Evansville, Indiana will formally rename a street near his high school stadium called Bob Griese Pass. A monument in his honor will also be unveiled.
During the ceremony, he will be joined by former teammate Nat Moore and Darrell Hazell, who is currently the head coach of Purdue. Purdue, of course, is where Griese played in college before the Dolphins selected him fourth overall in the 1967 NFL Draft.
