Wednesday morning, the top target of quarterback Ryan Tannehill was named the AFC's Special Teams Player of the Week after he scored what would be the game winning touchdown on a 69-yard punt return.
It was the first time a Dolphins player scored on a punt return since Marcus Thigpen did it in 2012, and Landry became just the third player in Dolphins history to score on a punt return in a season opener, joining Thigpen and Tom Vigorito who did it in the 1982 season.
Landry becomes the 14th Dolphins player to win the weekly award since it started getting handed out in 1993, and he previously won the AFC's Special Teams Player of the Month Award in October of his rookie year in 2014.
