Darren Rizzi will get a shot at the Miami Dolphins head coaching job.
According to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, Miami’s special teams coordinator and assistant head coach is scheduled to meet with owner Stephen Ross and general manager Chris Grier this Friday to interview for the chance to lead the Miami Dolphins into the future as head coach.
The Dolphins have had no need to rush an interview with Rizzi given that all four candidates they’ve interviewed thus far are still in the playoffs. That list includes New England Patriots defensive play caller and linebackers coach Brian Flores, Dallas Cowboys passing game coordinator and defensive backs coach Kris Richard, New Orleans Saints defensive coordinator Dennis Allen, and Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy.
