Dolphins to meet with Andre Carter for assistant defensive line coach

The Miami Dolphins will interview retired Pro Bowl defensive end Andre Carter for a position as the team’s assistant defensive line coach, according to a report from the Sporting News’ Alex Mavez. If hired, Carter would work with defensive line coach Terrell Williams and senior defensive assistant/pass rush specialist Jim Washburn. There have been indications that Washburn would retire after the 2016 season, though nothing official has been released.

Carter spent 13 years in the NFL, starting as a first-round draft choice of the San Francisco 49ers in 2001.
