Leading the group of tendered free agents is safety Michael Thomas. Thomas played very well and looked to be emerging as a strong starting safety option next to Reshad Jones but a chest injury ended his 2014 season. In 2015 it was believed that he would pick up where he had left off but his season started slowly and by the time it ended his play was in need of upgrade.
Thomas started 13 games last year at safety and contributed on special teams. It’s his 2nd season as an exclusive rights free agent because he has not been able to put together the required games to become a free agent.
