In 2015, Cameron came nowhere close to the performance Miami had expected but much of that blame can be attributed to head coach Joe Philbin and offensive coordinator Bill Lazor who simply didn’t know how to use a tight end. The most productive tight-end under Philbin was Charles Clay who ran more of an H-Back role than a true tight end.
Under Adam Gase the offense is expected to employ the tight end more often in the passing game. Something that was consistent with his time in Denver and Chicago. Cameron, when healthy, is a top tight end so there is no doubt Miami would like to keep him.
