DAVIE - The Miami Dolphins have spent the final week of the regular season locking up a couple of impending free agents.
On Wednesday Miami extended offensive lineman Sam Young's contract an extra season, and on Thursday the Dolphins signed backup tight end MarQueis Gray to a two-year deal.
Gray, who has pulled down 14 receptions for 174 yards this season, announced the new contract on his social media accounts. The terms of the extension have not been announced.
Gray's extension ensures that at least one of the three tight ends who have started at least one game in 2016 will be on the 2017 roster.
