The Miami Dolphins have made a fully expected roster move on Monday, placing injured guard Ted Larsen on injured reserve. The veteran offensive lineman tore his biceps muscle earlier this summer, an injury that is expected to keep Larsen out of action for at least the first few months of the season. In order for the team to place Larsen on injured reserve and have the ability to bring him back later in the year, he had to make the 53-man roster, which was “finalized” on Saturday.
Now that he made the roster, Miami made the move to place him on injured reserve, then bring back another player who is expected to have an important role this year.
