The Miami Dolphins announced Tuesday morning the signing of free agent offensive tackle D.J. Fluker. The 30-year-old former first-round draft pick will provide Miami with depth at both tackle positions, as well as an ability to kick inside to guard if needed.
Fluker could compete for a starting position with the Dolphins, or he could be used as the team’s swing tackle in case of injury during the season.
Fluker was selected 11th overall in the 2013 NFL Draft by the (then) San Diego Chargers. He played for the Chargers through 2016 before spending a year with the New York Giants, followed by playing the 2018 and 2019 seasons with the Seattle Seahawks.
