Dolphins sign Cameron Wake to contract extension

The average age of Miami's starting defensive line is 30.5 courtesy of Williams’ addition, which hints that the second unit better be ready to play 500 snaps a season. Wake, produced seven sacks and forced four fumbles in seven games last season before suffering his Achilles injury. He’ll be brought along slowly coming off his injury. Branch, Fede and McCain (a converted linebacker) are good athletes, but they all need to clean up their technique and learn the finer points of working in the wide-9 scheme defense coordinator Vance Joseph plans to utilize.
