Verner was a name that many believed would be on the lips of the Dolphins in free agency but Miami held their cards pretty tight and waited for the draft to roll around. Now with only days left before camp, the Dolphins have added the 28 year old corner with the hopes he can return to his form while with Tennessee.
Verner was a Pro-Bowl caliber corner while with the Titans but moved on to the Buccaneers where he didn’t quite fit the scheme. Miami is hoping they can get his career back on track. Verner will compete for the slot corner role against Bobby McCain.
