Dolphins’ Ryan Tannehill needs a big season under Adam Gase

At a quick glance, Ryan Tannehill’s 2015 statistics weren’t much of a drop-off from 2014.

But the fact that there was any drop-off is a problem in itself.

This past season was supposed to be Tannehill’s breakout year. He was fresh off a signing a contract extension worth up to $95 million over six years.

Instead, he regressed.

He threw for 4,208 yards, 24 touchdowns, 12 interceptions and an 88.7 passer rating.

In 2014, he tallied 4,045 yards, 27 touchdowns, 12 interceptions and a 92.8 passer rating.

Once again, Tannehill had to deal with a mediocre offensive line that completely fell apart in the second half of the season when Jason Fox was thrust in to the lineup in place of an injured Ja’Wuan James.
