Dolphins Ryan Tannehill AFC Player of the Week

On Sunday, Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill was next to perfect. Today the NFL recognized that and awarded him the AFC Offensive Player of the Week.

Tannehill was 18 of 19 on the day and set an NFL record for most consecutive completions, 25, over two games. He threw for 282 yards and four touchdowns as the Dolphins routed the visiting Houston Texans. Ending a seven game losing skid to the only team in the NFL they had never beaten.

Tannehill didn’t have to do too much on Sunday. His throws were no longer than 10 yards and three of his four touchdown passes were over 50 yards but the receivers were able to shake the defense and drive home the scores from downfield.
