DAVIE - Receiver Kenny Stills had his practice participation limited on Sunday because of a left calf injury he’s been nursing since June.
Stills, whom the Dolphins traded a third-round pick to acquire from New Orleans this offseason, is viewed as one of Miami’s top four receivers. But his practice involvement has been decreasing the past few days. Stills watched the second half of Sunday's practice with ice wrapped around his left calf.
Head coach Joe Philbin stressed that Miami’s trainers are simply being smart about how much veteran players work, and he’s encouraged his team to listen to their bodies.
