The Miami Dolphins are not done making coaching changes. After apparently exhausting their efforts to find more coaches away from the team, the Dolphins have decided to promote special teams coordinator Darren Rizzi.
Rizzi will assume the role of assistant head coach to Dan Campbell and still retain his special teams duties. The Dolphins don’t have an assistant head coach so the move seems like a logical choice. Many teams designate one of the coaches as an assistant head coach so unlike the addition of Al Saunders as a “senior consultant” Rizzi will actually work with Dan Campbell in multiple areas of the team.
