Dolphins Placing First-Round Tender On RFA LB Kiko Alonso

The Miami Dolphins are placing a first-round tender on restricted free agent LB Kiko Alonso, according to Joe Schad.

The first-round tender will cost the Browns $3.91 million for the 2017 season and net them a first-round pick if he receives an offer sheet from another team and they elect to pass on matching it.

Alonso, 26, is a former second-round pick of the Bills back in 2013. He signed a four-year, $4,300,401 but injuries have prevented him from accruing the necessary four years of experience to be an unrestricted free agent.

The Bills traded to the Eagles in return for RB LeSean McCoy back in 2015.
