Dolphins coach Dan Campbell has done a few unorthodox things in his short tenure.
Wednesday was another chapter.
As the Dolphins gathered on the outdoor fields for practice, the offensive and defensive players split off in a large circle.
Then, briefly, they broke into what appeared to be a version of “kill the man with the ball.” Or a rugby scrum. It was tough to tell.
Last week, Campbell ran a drill in which he called out an offensive player to go head-to-head with a defensive player, over and over. The Dolphins also battled in a version of tug-of-war.
