Dolphins defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh, metaphorically speaking, has been the loudest player in training camp. But Suh, who has dominated everyone he’s faced, got relatively quiet when he was asked whether left guard Dallas Thomas and right guard Billy Turner are NFL starting-caliber players.
“It’s not my decision to make,” he said. “I’m sorry. I can’t answer that.”
Yes, it’s highly unusual that the starting guards, possibly the two most insignificant positions among any team’s starting 22, have been such a huge topic of Dolphins training camp. After all, it’s debatable whether their performance, no matter how bad, could directly affect the outcome of a game.
