Dolphins' Moore named AFC's Offensive Player of the Week; team still hopeful Tannehill can return

DAVIE – It only took one NFL start for Matt Moore to gain league-wide recognition.

Moore, the quarterback filling in for an injured Ryan Tannehill, was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week for the four touchdowns he threw in last weekend's 34-13 win over the New York Jets.

Moore completed 12 of 18 passes for 236 yards, with four touchdowns and one interception.

“I really felt good. (It’s a) credit to the coaches for the preparation and practice," said Moore, who expects to make his 27th career start on Sunday against the Buffalo Bills.
