The Dolphins have been on an amazing streak when it comes to recruiting high-profile free agents. Since 2013, they’ve signed wide receiver Mike Wallace, left tackle Branden Albert and defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh. You knew at some point their luck had to run out.
That happened Thursday when Dallas, according to reports, signed undrafted LSU guard La’el Collins, a rookie free agent who likely could have made a suspect Dolphins offensive line into a respectable offensive line.
Now it’s back to reality, which means hoping guards Dallas Thomas and Billy Turner can develop into reliable NFL starters.
