MIAMI -- After giving up six sacks Sunday against the Tennessee Titans and 11 in the past two weeks, the Miami Dolphins made significant changes to the depth of their offensive line Tuesday.
Miami cut former third-round draft picks Billy Turner and Dallas Thomas, and the team also released former fourth-round pick Jamil Douglas from its practice squad, sources told ESPN NFL Insiders Adam Schefter and Adam Caplan. All three linemen were once promising prospects for the Dolphins who never reached their potential.
Turner started at left tackle against Tennessee in place of the injured Laremy Tunsil (ankle) and allowed quarterback Ryan Tannehill to be sacked at least twice.
