When Dolphins linebacker Spencer Paysinger tells you he’s seen life’s opposite extremes, believe him. Paysinger lived in economically-challenged South Central Los Angeles but attended economically-blessed Beverly Hills High School.
Paysinger, a sixth-year player in his second season with the Dolphins, has no plans to visit his alma mater during the Dolphins’ extended stay in Southern California. But he recalls his high school days with a smile. The experience gave him a unique and worldly perspective.
“I think it gives me a good understanding of different ethnicities, different cultures and respecting them for how they were brought up, and hopefully they respect me and how I was brought up,” said Paysinger, who is African American.
