Dolphins' Jelani Jenkins, Byron Maxwell not expected to play vs. Patriots

DAVIE - The Miami Dolphins will play the season-finale against New England without three of the team's defensive starters.

Starting free safety Isa Abdul-Quddus, who is second on the team in tackles, was placed on injured reserve earlier on Wednesday, concluding his season, and defensive coordinator Vance Joseph confirmed that Jelani Jenkins, Miami's starting weakside linebacker, and Byron Maxwell, Miami's starting right side cornerback, aren't expected to play against the Patriots on Sunday.

Jenkins continues to be sidelined by a strained right knee he re-aggravated in Miami's win over San Diego back in early November.
