Miami Dolphins linebacker Jaelan Phillips announced Wednesday that the knee injury he sustained on Monday night will end his season.
Phillips announced in a statement posted to Instagram that the injury to his knee "will require reconstructive surgery."
This is the second straight year that his season will end early due to injury. He suffered a season-ending Achilles injury in a game against the New York Jets last November.
"I bleed for this game and my team. I'm devastated to have to miss another season, but my resolve has never been stronger.
