It's been revealed that the Miami Dolphins are already in the process of interviewing possible head coaching candidates, as the team apparently is going to interview former Atlanta Falcons head coach Mike Smith on Monday.
Mike Smith, 56, was the head coach for the Falcons from 2008 to 2014, with an overall record of 66-46, so he does at least have a winning record to go with his previous head coaching experience. He went to the playoffs four times in his seven seasons as the Falcons HC.
Before his tenure as the Falcons head coach, Smith was the defensive coordinator for the Jacksonville Jaguars from 2003 to 2007 under Jack Del Rio, and during that time, the Jaguars defense was ranked 18th (2003), 7th (2004), 6th (2005), 4th (2006), and 10th (2007) overall.
